Since 1997, community projects have included:
- Founder of Bike Hub Nelson
- Convenor of the Early Actions working group for Te Tauihu Community Development Agency
- Worked with Tindall Foundation not-for-profit community groups to build capacity and improve organisational effectiveness. Clients included Blue Door Wellsford, Literacy Aotearoa North Shore, Whangateau Harbour Care, Massey Community Centre.
- Treasurer, then Chair of Abuse Prevention Services serving the Warkworth region
- Working for Auckland Regional Council on the "Big Clean Up" social marketing programme
- Project director for SkyPath and the GetAcross campaign to walk and cycle over the Auckland Harbour Bridge
- Founder and co-convenor of SALT (Slower and Less Traffic) Pt Chevalier
- Field officer for Outdoor Access Commission prepared and implementing Auckland Council’s Greenways Plan between Puhoi and Pakiri
- Programme director for Movement's campaigning for safer traffic speeds on both urban and rural roads
- Project managed the implementation of demand responsive public transport for the Warkworth area
- Trustee and Treasurer of Community Action Nelson
- Operations manager for Brain Injury Association (Top of the South/West Coast)
- Development of an Enner Glynn sub-division for affordable homes
- Library of Things for Whakatu Nelson
- Establishing Nelson/Tasman as NZ's Heart of Biking
- Community campaign for Civic House Arts Project.
